Change is good!

We tweaked the Feed the World two-day workshop, and the changes really pleased the crowd! In the past, attending teachers have been in put in groups, each concentrating on one curriculum topic. Becoming “experts’ on that topic, the group would then present it to the group as a whole.

This year, all participants had the opportunity to go through several activities from each topic area. Samantha Williams of Bethel Tate High School had been to last year’s workshop and was enthusiastic about the new design. “Last year, I was in the corn fermentation  group, and that’s the lesson I used with my students, because I was familiar with it. Now that we’ve done activities from each of the topic areas, I’m seeming so many more things that I can do in my classes!”
