19 Ohio STEM teachers met at the Summit County ESC building to learn more about energy and biofuels in a unique co-sponsored workshop. Presenters included Ohio Corn & Wheat’s Feed the World, Ohio Soybean Council’s GrowNextGen, and the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program.
Ethanol is a sustainable biofuel made from corn. Workshop participants were challenged to engineer the greatest volume of ethanol possible, using a variety of feedstocks. This lesson, Corn fermentation in a bag, is available free on the Feed the World website, along with other energy and ethanol lessons.
