It’s almost spring—let’s test soil!

Ohio Corn & Wheat provided up to $300 of supplies for teachers who’d attended Feed the World workshops. One of the options was a soil testing kit. Warmer weather has made it possible to get outside and get soil to test.

Kristen Campbell at Piketon High School had her ag science classes start by testing soil pH. “We will be doing additional testing tomorrow for nitrogen and phosphorus,” Campbell said.

She has 120 students, so having enough supplies can be a challenge. Getting supplies from the grant “definitely helps with enough materials.”
