Grant provides free supplies for teachers

Thanks to the generosity of Ohio Corn & Wheat, Ohio teachers have supplies to present Feed the World lessons in their classrooms. Over $3000 worth of supplies were sent out recently to teachers all over the state.

All teachers who had attended the 2-day Feed the World summer workshop in the past were invited to submit a request for supplies, up to a $300 limit. Teachers were asked to indicate how their schools provided matching funds for science lessons, and then they selected from items such as pGlo labs, water quality test kits, DNA extraction labs, ethanol kits, and more.

There will be another opportunity to request supplies starting in late February. If you’re a Feed the World workshop alumni, watch for news about the grant program in the newsletter and on FTW’s social media!
